أشعلت هزيمة فريق الوحدة من فريق الأنوار بخمسة أهداف مقابل هدف في الجولة الـ٢٨ من دوري يلو غضب الجماهير الوحداوية، التي طالبت إدارة النادي بتنسيق جميع لاعبي الفريق الكروي الذي جلب الهزائم وهدم آمال الصعود لدوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين.
وتحدث كل من مساعد السلمي، وأحمد العطاس، وطلال أبو لبن، وفهد القرشي، وفيصل الحازمي، وسليم اللهيبي قائلين: «نحن لا نحمل إدارة النادي الحالية أية مسؤولية على كوارث الفريق في الهزائم والمستويات المخجلة التي ظهر بها الفريق في مباريات دوري يلو، لأن الإدارة الحالية لم تتعاقد معهم، فهذه العناصر مفلسة فنياً، ومكانهم الطبيعي درجة ثانية وثالثة وليس مكانهم فريق له قاعدة جماهيرية كالوحدة».
وطلبت الجماهير عقب بقاء فريق الوحدة في دوري يلو من وزارة الرياضة تمديد تكليف الإدارة الحالية لموسم آخر؛ «لأن فتح باب الجمعية العمومية بعد نهاية الموسم الحالي سيجلب إدارة بلا خبرة، ونعود مرة أخرى إلى نفق مظلم، ومن أجل المصلحة العامة لنادينا استمرار إدارة حاتم خيمي ودعمه مالياً من أجل جلب لاعبين مميزين من محليين وأجانب».
وتمنت الجماهير في حال استمرار إدارة حاتم خيمي لموسم آخر تنسيق جميع لاعبي الفريق الحالي الذي جلب أسوأ النتائج والمراكز لأول مرة في تاريخ الوحدة، فالبقاء على هذه العناصر يعني استمرار الكوارث وتسجيل أسوأ النتائج وسيبقى الفريق الكروي لسنوات في الدرجة الأولى.
من جهة أخرى، علق مصدر مسؤول في الإدارة الحالية بأن الغرض الذي جاءت من أجله الإدارة الحالية قد تحقق وهو إنقاذ الفريق من الهبوط إلى أندية الدرجة الثانية، ورفع القيد عن تسجيل اللاعبين، وسداد أكثر من 60% من الديون.
وأضاف المصدر ذاته أنه ليس من مصلحة الفريق الكروي الحالي الصعود لدوري روشن في الموسم الحالي بهذه العناصر؛ لأنه في حال صعوده لدوري روشن سيعود للهبوط لدوري الأولى، بسبب الديون المتراكمة عليه، لأن المبالغ التي ستجنيها خزينة النادي ستذهب لتسديد الديون، فالأفضل بقاء الفريق في الدرجة الأولى وتتم معالجة الديون بشكل تدريجي مع تغيير شبه جذري لعناصر الفريق الحالية، فالكل يعرف بأن الفريق الحالي يحتاج إلى إضافة عناصر جيدة في كافة الخطوط من أجل الظهور بالصورة الفنية التي تليق بنادي الوحدة.

Both Mosaad Al-Salmi, Ahmed Al-Attas, Talal Abu Luban, Fahd Al-Qurashi, Faisal Al-Hazmi, and Saleem Al-Lahibi stated: “We do not hold the current club management responsible for the team’s disasters in defeats and the embarrassing levels the team has shown in Yelo League matches, because the current management did not sign them. These players are technically bankrupt, and their natural place is in the second and third divisions, not in a team with a fan base like Al-Wahda.”
After Al-Wahda team remained in the Yelo League, the fans requested the Ministry of Sports to extend the current management’s mandate for another season; “because opening the door for the General Assembly after the end of the current season will bring in an inexperienced management, and we will return once again to a dark tunnel. For the sake of our club’s best interest, the continuation of Hatem Khaimi’s management and its financial support to bring in distinguished local and foreign players is necessary.”
The fans wished that if Hatem Khaimi’s management continued for another season, all current players who have brought the worst results and positions for the first time in Al-Wahda’s history should be coordinated out, as keeping these elements means the continuation of disasters and recording the worst results, and the football team will remain in the first division for years.
On the other hand, a responsible source in the current management commented that the purpose for which the current management came has been achieved, which is to save the team from relegation to the second division, lift the restrictions on player registration, and pay off more than 60% of the debts.
The same source added that it is not in the interest of the current football team to be promoted to the Roshan League this season with these players; because if it is promoted to the Roshan League, it will return to relegation to the first division due to the accumulated debts, as the amounts that the club’s treasury will earn will go to pay off the debts. It is better for the team to remain in the first division and address the debts gradually while making a near-complete change to the current team members, as everyone knows that the current team needs to add good players in all positions to appear in a manner befitting Al-Wahda Club.
