وجه وزير الرياضة اﻷمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل رسالة للاعبي منتخبنا الوطني اﻷول لكرة القدم بعد تعادله في لقائه اﻻفتتاحي أمام الأوروغواي بهدف لكل منهما، وذلك ضمن لقاءات الجولة اﻷولى للمجموعة الثامنة في مونديال 2026.
وشهد اللقاء حضور عدد كبير من الشخصيات الرياضية والمسؤولين في المملكة العربية السعودية، يتقدمهم وزير الرياضة اﻷمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل، وسفيرة خادم الحرمين الشريفين في أمريكا اﻷميرة ريما بنت بندر، ووزير اﻹعلام سلمان الدوسري، ورئيس اﻻتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم ياسر المسحل.
وحضر وزير الرياضة اللقاء مرتدياً القميص الرسمي للمنتخب الوطني ويحمل رقم 34، والذي يُشير لسنة تنظيم المملكة العربية السعودية لمونديال كأس العالم وذلك عام 2034، كما ارتدى وزير اﻹعلام ورئيس اﻻتحاد قميص المنتخب والرقم ذاته.
وعبر حسابه الرسمي في «إكس» قال اﻷمير عبدالعزيز: «ما قصرتوا يا أبطال»، في إشارة للمستوى الرائع الذي قدمه أفراد اﻷخضر في اللقاء.
ومن ثم أضاف: «بداية مميزة وروح تعكس عزيمة نجوم الأخضر، وكل التوفيق لمنتخبنا في المباريات القادمة»، مبدياً إعجابه بالبداية الرائعة وتحقيق نقطة مهمة، كما أشاد بروح وعزيمة اللاعبين رغم قوة المنتخب المنافس الذي خطف التعادل من اﻷخضر السعودي.
The Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, sent a message to the players of our national football team after their draw in the opening match against Uruguay, with each team scoring one goal. This was part of the first round of matches in Group H at the 2026 World Cup.
The match was attended by a large number of sports personalities and officials in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in America, Princess Reema bint Bandar, the Minister of Media, Salman Al-Dosari, and the President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mishal.
The Minister of Sports attended the match wearing the official jersey of the national team, bearing the number 34, which refers to the year the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the World Cup, in 2034. The Minister of Media and the President of the Federation also wore the same jersey and number.
On his official account on “X,” Prince Abdulaziz said: “You did not fall short, champions,” referring to the wonderful level displayed by the members of the Green team in the match.
He then added: “A distinctive start and a spirit that reflects the determination of the stars of the Green team. Best of luck to our team in the upcoming matches,” expressing his admiration for the great start and achieving an important point, while praising the spirit and determination of the players despite the strength of the opposing team that snatched the draw from the Saudi Green.
