تأهل المنتخب الأسترالي إلى الدور الـ 32 من بطولة كأس العالم 2026، بعدما تعادل سلبيا مع منتخب باراغواي في المباراة التي جمعتهما اليوم على ملعب «سان فرانسيسكو باي أرينا» بمدينة سانتا كلارا الأمريكية، ضمن الجولة الثالثة والأخيرة من منافسات المجموعة الرابعة.
ورفع المنتخب الأسترالي رصيده إلى أربع نقاط ليحتل المركز الثاني في المجموعة بفارق الأهداف أمام منتخب باراغواي صاحب المركز الثالث، الذي أبقى على آماله في التأهل ضمن أفضل المنتخبات أصحاب المركز الثالث، فيما تصدر المنتخب الأمريكي المجموعة برصيد ست نقاط رغم خسارته أمام تركيا (2-3)، بينما أنهى المنتخب التركي مشواره في المركز الأخير برصيد ثلاث نقاط.
