أعلن مدرب المنتخب الهولندي رونالد كومان استقالته، عقب وداع الفريق منافسات كأس العالم 2026 من الدور الأول لمرحلة خروج المغلوب، إثر الخسارة أمام المنتخب المغربي.
وعاد كومان (63 عاماً) لتولي مهمة تدريب المنتخب الهولندي للمرة الثانية مطلع 2023، خلفاً للويس فان غال الذي قاد الفريق إلى دور الثمانية في نسخة قطر 2022.
وخلال فترته الثانية هذه، تمكن من الوصول بفريقه إلى نصف نهائي بطولة أمم أوروبا 2024، إلا أن سجله شهد ثغرة لافتة تمثلت في عجزه عن تحقيق أي انتصار أمام منتخب يحتل أحد المراكز الـ25 الأولى في تصنيف «فيفا».
وتولى كومان سدة القيادة الفنية لـ«الطواحين»، إذ سبق له تدريب المنتخب منذ فبراير 2018، قبل أن يقدم استقالة مفاجئة في أغسطس 2020 ليتجه نحو تدريب نادي برشلونة الإسباني.
The Dutch national team coach Ronald Koeman announced his resignation following the team’s exit from the 2026 World Cup in the first round of the knockout stage, after losing to the Moroccan national team.
Koeman (63 years old) returned to take over the coaching of the Dutch national team for the second time at the beginning of 2023, succeeding Louis van Gaal, who led the team to the quarter-finals in the Qatar 2022 edition.
During this second term, he managed to lead his team to the semi-finals of the UEFA Euro 2024, but his record showed a notable gap as he failed to achieve any victory against a team ranked among the top 25 in the FIFA rankings.
Koeman took the helm of the “Oranje,” having previously coached the national team since February 2018, before unexpectedly resigning in August 2020 to take on the coaching role at FC Barcelona.
