أعادت هيئة تطوير منطقة عسير تشغيل مسرح طلال مداح في قرية المفتاحة بمدينة أبها، بعد استكمال أعمال ترميمه وتهيئته، ليعود إلى استقبال الفعاليات والعروض الفنية والثقافية ضمن برامج موسم صيف عسير 2026.
حفظ الإرث الثقافي
يأتي المشروع ضمن مستهدفات إستراتيجية تطوير منطقة عسير، الرامية إلى المحافظة على الأصول الثقافية ذات القيمة التاريخية، وإعادة توظيفها بما يعزز مكانة المنطقة وجهةً ثقافية وسياحية على مدار العام.
تطوير شامل
وشملت أعمال التطوير تطبيق مفهوم التوظيف التكيفي للأصول الثقافية، مع الحفاظ على الهوية المعمارية والقيمة التاريخية للمسرح، إلى جانب تحديث التجهيزات الفنية والتقنية، ورفع كفاءة المرافق، واستكمال متطلبات السلامة، بما يتوافق مع معايير التشغيل الحديثة.
فعاليات على مدار العام
وأكدت الهيئة أن مسرح طلال مداح سيواصل استقبال البرامج والفعاليات الفنية والثقافية بعد عودته للعمل ضمن موسم صيف عسير 2026، ليكون أحد أبرز المرافق الثقافية المستضيفة للفعاليات والأنشطة على مدار العام.
The Asir Development Authority has reopened the Talal Maddah Theater in Al-Muftaha Village in Abha, after completing its restoration and preparation works, to resume hosting events and artistic and cultural performances as part of the Asir Summer Season 2026 programs.
Preserving Cultural Heritage
This project is part of the strategic objectives for the development of the Asir region, aimed at preserving culturally significant historical assets and repurposing them to enhance the region’s status as a cultural and tourist destination throughout the year.
Comprehensive Development
The development works included applying the concept of adaptive reuse of cultural assets while maintaining the architectural identity and historical value of the theater, in addition to updating technical and artistic equipment, improving facility efficiency, and completing safety requirements in accordance with modern operational standards.
Year-Round Events
The authority confirmed that the Talal Maddah Theater will continue to host artistic and cultural programs and events after its reopening as part of the Asir Summer Season 2026, making it one of the prominent cultural venues hosting events and activities throughout the year.
