طرح الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «FIFA» سؤالاً مهماً على موقعه في الإنترنت في التقرير الذي نشره عن ممثل الوطن فريق الأهلي قبل مواجهته المهمة أمام ماميلودي صنداونز الجنوب أفريقي. وبدأ التقرير بعنوان «ماذا تغير في الأهلي السعودي منذ مشاركته الأخيرة في كأس القارات؟»، وجاء التقرير كالتالي: منذ مشاركته في النسخة الماضية من كأس القارات للأندية، طرأت العديد من التغييرات على الأهلي السعودي، من رحيل يايسله ومحرز وكيسيه إلى وصول بوشيتش ونجوم جدد.
يدخل الأهلي السعودي مواجهته أمام ماميلودي صنداونز الجنوب أفريقي بطموح مواصلة رحلته نحو التتويج بأول لقب عالمي في تاريخه، بعدما حجز مكانه في المرحلة التالية من كأس القارات للأندية FIFA 2026™ إثر فوزه على أوكلاند سيتي. وسيحل الفريق الأخضر ضيفًا على العملاق الأفريقي لتحديد بطل كأس أفريقيا-آسيا-المحيط الهادئ، يوم الـ19 من سبتمبر/أيلول الجاري.
ويملك بطل آسيا فرصة جديدة للذهاب بعيدًا في البطولة، بعدما كانت مشاركته السابقة قد انتهت أمام بيراميدز المصري دون أن ينجح في بلوغ الدور التالي. لكن الأهلي الذي يستعد لمواجهة صنداونز يبدو مختلفًا عن ذلك الفريق الذي خاض البطولة قبل عام، بعدما طرأت عليه تغييرات عديدة، سواء على مستوى الجهاز الفني أو قائمة اللاعبين.
بوشيتش بدلاً من يايسله
أبرز التغييرات التي طرأت على الأهلي تتمثل في مقعد المدرب. فبعدما قاد الألماني ماتياس يايسله الفريق إلى تحقيق لقب دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة للموسم الثاني تواليًا، رحل عن النادي خلال الصيف لينضم إلى نيوكاسل يونايتد الإنجليزي.
واختار الأهلي التعاقد مع مارينو بوشيتش لخلافة يايسله. ويبلغ المدرب الهولندي-الكرواتي من العمر 54 عامًا، وسبق له الفوز بلقبي الدوري والكأس في كل من هولندا وأوكرانيا، فيما كانت آخر محطاته تدريب نادي الجزيرة الإماراتي.
رحيل محرز وكيسيه وأسماء أخرى
لم يقتصر التغيير على الجهاز الفني، بل طال عددًا من أبرز الأسماء التي كانت حاضرة في قائمة الأهلي خلال مواجهته أمام بيراميدز في النسخة السابقة من كأس القارات للأندية. ويأتي الجزائري رياض محرز والإيفواري فرانك كيسيه في مقدمة الراحلين، بعدما شكلا عنصرين أساسيين في الفريق خلال الفترة الماضية.
كما غادر الفريق العديد من الأسماء الأخرى، أبرزها الظهير الأيسر ماتيو دامس، الذي كان قد رحل إلى كلوب بروج البلجيكي، إلى جانب لاعبين مثل إنزو ميو الذي انتقل إلى الدرعية.
وكان محرز وكيسيه تحديدًا من الأسماء الأساسية في مواجهة بيراميدز، إذ بدأ اللاعبان المباراة ضمن التشكيلة الأساسية للأهلي. فيما شهدت القائمة تغييرات أخرى على مستوى بعض العناصر المحلية، مثل عبدالإله الخيبري الذي انضم إلى الفتح.

في المقابل، تحرك الأهلي بقوة لتعويض رحيل عدد من نجومه، وأبرم صفقات جديدة غيرت شكل الفريق. ومن أبرز الوافدين البرتغالي فرانشيسكو ترينكاو القادم من سبورتينغ لشبونة، والأرميني إدوارد سبيرتسيان قادمًا من كراسنودار الروسي، إلى جانب الأوكراني أرتيم بوندارينكو، فضلًا عن الفرنسي من أصول غينية إبراهيما ماكايا ديابي الذي يشغل مركز لاعب الوسط الدفاعي.
وظهر سبيرتسيان بشكل مميز منذ بداية مشواره مع الفريق، إذ سجل في أول مباراة رسمية له بقميص الأهلي أمام الدرعية، بينما دخل ترينكاو مباشرة في التشكيلة الأساسية خلال افتتاح الدوري، في إشارة إلى المكانة التي يحظى بها الثنائي في مشروع بوشيتش.
وسجل ترينكاو 3 أهداف وصنع هدفين خلال أول 7 مباريات في الدوري السعودي للمحترفين. أما سبيرتسيان فقد سجل هدفين وصنع مثلهما في نفس عدد المباريات محليًا، كما قدم تمريرة حاسمة خلال فوز الفريق على أوكلاند سيتي في المباراة الإقصائية لكأس أفريقيا-آسيا-المحيط الهادئ FIFA.
وتتمثل أبرز ملامح الأهلي الجديد في إعادة توزيع الأدوار التي كان يضطلع بها نجوم الفريق السابقون على الوافدين الجدد. فبعد رحيل محرز، بات ترينكاو أحد أبرز الخيارات على الجناح، فيما يضيف سبيرتسيان مزيدًا من الحلول الهجومية في خط الوسط، بينما يواصل توني وجالينو تحمل مسؤولية قيادة الخط الأمامي.
اختبار مختلف خارج جدة
ستكون مواجهة صنداونز أيضًا مختلفة من ناحية المكان، إذ يخوض الأهلي أول مباراة له خارج أرضه في كأس القارات للأندية. وكان الفريق قد خاض مباراته السابقة أمام أوكلاند في جدة، كما أن مواجهته أمام بيراميدز في النسخة الماضية أقيمت أيضًا في جدة.
لكن هذا التغيير لا يتعلق بتغييرٍ طرأ على الأهلي نفسه بقدر ما يرتبط بمسار مشاركته الحالية في البطولة، إذ ينتقل هذه المرة إلى بريتوريا لمواجهة بطل أفريقيا على ملعب لوفتس فيرسفيلد، ما يعني أنه سيخسر دعم جماهيره الغفيرة.

However, Al-Ahli, which is preparing to face Sundowns, seems different from the team that participated in the tournament a year ago, as many changes have occurred, both in the coaching staff and the player roster.
Boushita instead of Yaisleh
One of the most significant changes in Al-Ahli is in the coaching position. After the German Matthias Yaisleh led the team to win the AFC Champions League title for the second consecutive season, he left the club during the summer to join Newcastle United in England.
Al-Ahli chose to sign Marino Boushita to succeed Yaisleh. The Dutch-Croatian coach is 54 years old and has previously won league and cup titles in both the Netherlands and Ukraine, while his last coaching stint was with Al-Jazira Club in the UAE.
Departure of Mahrez, Kessie, and other names
The changes were not limited to the coaching staff, but also affected several prominent names that were present in Al-Ahli’s roster during its match against Pyramids in the previous edition of the Confederations Cup. Algerian Riyad Mahrez and Ivorian Franck Kessie are among the most notable departures, having been key players for the team in the past period.
Many other names also left the team, most notably left-back Matteo Dams, who moved to Club Brugge in Belgium, along with players like Enzo Miyo, who transferred to Al-Dhariyah.
Mahrez and Kessie were specifically key names in the match against Pyramids, as both players started the game in Al-Ahli’s starting lineup. The roster also saw other changes at the local level, such as Abdulilah Al-Khaibari, who joined Al-Fateh.
New faces to compensate for the departures
On the other hand, Al-Ahli moved strongly to compensate for the departure of several of its stars, making new signings that changed the team’s shape. Among the most notable arrivals are Portuguese Francisco Trincão from Sporting Lisbon, Armenian Edward Spirtsyan from Russian Krasnodar, along with Ukrainian Artem Bondarenko, as well as the French player of Guinean descent, Ibrahima Makaya Diaby, who plays as a defensive midfielder.

As for Spirtsyan, he has scored 2 goals and provided the same number of assists in the same number of matches domestically, as well as delivering a decisive pass during the team’s victory over Auckland City in the knockout match of the Africa-Asia-Pacific Cup FIFA.
The most prominent features of the new Al-Ahli are the redistribution of roles that were previously held by the team’s former stars to the new arrivals. After Mahrez’s departure, Trincão has become one of the prominent options on the wing, while Spirtsyan adds more attacking solutions in midfield, while Toni and Galeno continue to bear the responsibility of leading the front line.
A different test outside Jeddah
The match against Sundowns will also be different in terms of location, as Al-Ahli plays its first away match in the Confederations Cup for clubs. The team had played its previous match against Auckland in Jeddah, and its match against Pyramids in the last edition also took place in Jeddah.
However, this change is not related to a change in Al-Ahli itself as much as it is related to the course of its current participation in the tournament, as it moves this time to Pretoria to face the African champion at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, which means it will lose the support of its massive fan base.
