France national team coach Zinedine Zidane praised the exceptional career of Al Nassr and Portugal national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo, following his recent crisis with his national team coach Jorge Jesus.
Ronaldo is going through a tough time, having been forced to leave the Portugal national team camp last Wednesday due to Jesus not relying on him for the match against Norway, despite him having warmed up, along with feeling belittled by the coach.
Zidane Supports Ronaldo
When asked about Ronaldo during the press conference ahead of the match between France and Belgium in the UEFA Nations League, Zidane said: “We must acknowledge his wonderful career; I was lucky enough to coach him.” He added: “He helped me win many titles, so I tip my hat to him. I have always had great respect for those I have spent enjoyable time with.”
Golden Era at Real Madrid
Zidane coached the “Don” at Real Madrid during a golden era for the club, from 2016 to 2018, during which the team won numerous titles, most notably the UEFA Champions League three times.
