اعترف مدرب الاتفاق سعد الشهري، يضعف الأداء الهجومي لفريقه في المباراة التي تعادل فيها مع ضيفه الشباب بنتيجة (1-1)، والتي جمعتهما على ملعب إيجو بالدمام، ضمن منافسات الجولة الـ25 من الدوري السعودي للمحترفين «دوري روشن»، جاء ذلك خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الذي عقده عقب المباراة، وقال: «قدمنا شوطًا أول جيدا في المباراة، وخلقنا خلاله عددًا من الفرص التي كان بإمكاننا من خلالها إنهاء اللقاء مبكرًا، لكن لم نوفق في ترجمتها إلى أهداف». وأضاف: «لعبنا أمام فريق صعب يملك حلولًا هجومية متنوعة، إلا أن الجانب البدني لم يساعدنا في الشوط الثاني، فيما قدمنا على الصعيد الدفاعي أداءً جيدًا». واختتم تصريحه بقوله: «نقطة التعادل ليست نتيجة سيئة، لكننا نتطلع إلى مواصلة العمل والتركيز على المباريات القادمة في الدوري، بداية من مواجهة الفيحاء».

يذكر أن الاتفاق افتتح التسجيل عن طريق لاعبه خالد الغنام عند الدقيقة (51)، فيما أدرك الشباب التعادل عبر لاعبه كاراسكو عند الدقيقة (57) من ركلة جزاء، وبهذه النتيجة رفع الاتفاق رصيده إلى (39) نقطة في المركز السابع، فيما رفع الشباب رصيده إلى (26) نقطة في المركز الثالث عشر.

The coach of Al-Ettifaq, Saad Al-Shahrani, acknowledged the weakness of his team’s attacking performance in the match where they drew with their guest Al-Shabab with a score of (1-1), which took place at the Ego Stadium in Dammam, as part of the 25th round of the Saudi Professional League “Roshan League.” This came during the press conference he held after the match, where he said: “We had a good first half in the match and created several opportunities through which we could have ended the game early, but we were not successful in converting them into goals.” He added: “We played against a tough team that has various attacking solutions, but our physical condition did not help us in the second half, while we performed well defensively.” He concluded his statement by saying: “The draw is not a bad result, but we look forward to continuing to work and focusing on the upcoming matches in the league, starting with the match against Al-Fayha.”

It is worth mentioning that Al-Ettifaq opened the scoring through their player Khaled Al-Ghannam in the (51st) minute, while Al-Shabab equalized through their player Carrasco in the (57th) minute from a penalty kick. With this result, Al-Ettifaq raised their points to (39) in seventh place, while Al-Shabab increased their points to (26) in thirteenth place.
