افتتح أستون فيلا التسجيل عن طريق يوري تيليمانس في الدقيقة 41، ثم عزز إميليانو بوينديا تقدم «الفيلانز» بهدف ثانٍ في الدقيقة الثالثة من الوقت بدل الضائع للشوط الأول.
وسجل مورغان روجرز الهدف الثالث لفريق أستون فيلا في الدقيقة 58، ليقضي على محاولات فرايبورغ للعودة إلى أجواء اللقاء.
إنهاء غياب 30 عاماً
بهذا الانتصار، عاد أستون فيلا إلى منصات التتويج بعد انتظار دام 30 عاماً، كما عزز المدرب أوناي إيمري رقمه القياسي بتحقيق لقبه الخامس في البطولة.

Aston Villa opened the scoring through Youri Tielemans in the 41st minute, then Emiliano Buendía doubled the “Villains” lead with a second goal in the third minute of stoppage time in the first half.
Morgan Rogers scored the third goal for Aston Villa in the 58th minute, putting an end to Freiburg’s attempts to get back into the game.
Ending a 30-Year Drought
With this victory, Aston Villa returned to the podium after a 30-year wait, and coach Unai Emery enhanced his record by securing his fifth title in the tournament.
