دخل النجم المغربي عز الدين أوناحي تاريخ كأس العالم من أوسع أبوابه، بعدما سجل هدفين في مباراة منتخب المغرب أمام منتخب كندا والتي انتهت بفوز المغرب 3-0، ضمن منافسات دور الـ16 من مونديال 2026، ليصبح أول لاعب مغربي يسجل ثنائية في مباراة بالأدوار الإقصائية للبطولة.
ورفع «أوناحي» عدد الثنائيات المغربية في تاريخ كأس العالم إلى 3 فقط، بعدما سبقه عبدالرزاق خيري الذي هز شباك البرتغال مرتين في مونديال 1986، وصلاح الدين بصير بثنائيته أمام اسكتلندا في نسخة 1998.
ولم تقتصر إنجازات «أوناحي» على كتابة اسمه في سجلات الهدافين، بل قاد «أسود الأطلس» إلى التأهل لربع نهائي كأس العالم للمرة الثانية توالياً، مؤكداً استمرار الجيل المغربي في صناعة الإنجازات على الساحة العالمية.
The Moroccan star Azzedine Ounahi entered the history of the World Cup in grand style, after scoring two goals in the match between the Moroccan national team and the Canadian national team, which ended with Morocco winning 3-0, in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, becoming the first Moroccan player to score a brace in a knockout stage match of the tournament.
Ounahi raised the number of Moroccan braces in World Cup history to only 3, following Abdelrazak Khairi, who scored twice against Portugal in the 1986 World Cup, and Salah Eddine Bousseir with his brace against Scotland in the 1998 edition.
Ounahi’s achievements were not limited to writing his name in the scorers’ records; he also led the “Atlas Lions” to qualify for the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the second consecutive time, confirming the Moroccan generation’s continued success on the global stage.
