أعلن اتحاد كأس الخليج العربي لكرة القدم إطلاق بطولة كأس السوبر الخليجي للأندية 2026، والتي ستجمع نادي دهوك العراقي بطل النسخة الأولى من دوري أبطال الخليج للأندية ونادي الريان القطري بطل النسخة الثانية من الدوري.
وسوف تستضيف محافظة دهوك العراقية هذه المواجهة يوم 13 أغسطس 2026، في حدث كروي يُعد إضافة جديدة لمسيرة البطولات الخليجية، حيث تمثل هذه النسخة المستحدثة من كأس السوبر محطة مهمة في تطوير المنافسات الإقليمية وتعزيز حضورها على الساحة الكروية الخليجية، إلى جانب ما يُتوقع أن تحظى به من اهتمام جماهيري وإعلامي واسع في المنطقة.
وفي هذا الصدد، أشاد السيد جاسم سلطان الرميحي، الأمين العام للاتحاد، بالجهود التي بذلها نادي دهوك في سبيل إنجاز كافة الترتيبات التنظيمية لاستضافة المباراة والحرص الكبير من أجل إخراج المباراة بصورة تليق بسمعة كرة القدم الخليجية، كما أشاد بالدعم المقدم من الاتحاد العراقي لكرة القدم لاستضافة الحدث.
وأضاف الرميحي: «نحن سعداء برؤية البطولات الخليجية تصل إلى آفاق جديدة، ويُعد تنظيم كأس السوبر الخليجي محطة بارزة في مسيرة كرة القدم بالمنطقة، كما يعكس التقدم الملموس الذي حققته خلال السنوات الماضية على جميع المستويات».
The Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation announced the launch of the Gulf Super Cup for clubs 2026, which will bring together the Iraqi club Duhok, the champion of the first edition of the Gulf Champions League, and the Qatari club Al Rayyan, the champion of the second edition of the league.
The Iraqi province of Duhok will host this match on August 13, 2026, in a football event that is considered a new addition to the history of Gulf championships. This new edition of the Super Cup represents an important milestone in the development of regional competitions and enhancing their presence on the Gulf football scene, along with the expected wide public and media interest in the region.
In this regard, Mr. Jassim Sultan Al-Rumaihi, the Secretary-General of the federation, praised the efforts made by Duhok Club to complete all organizational arrangements for hosting the match and the great care taken to present the match in a manner befitting the reputation of Gulf football. He also praised the support provided by the Iraqi Football Federation to host the event.
Al-Rumaihi added: “We are happy to see Gulf championships reaching new horizons, and organizing the Gulf Super Cup is a prominent milestone in the journey of football in the region, reflecting the tangible progress achieved over the past years at all levels.”
