افتتح فريق مانشستر يونايتد الموسم الجديد من الدوري الإنجليزي (بريميرليغ) بهزيمة مخيبة أمام مُضيفه هال سيتي بهدفين دون رد في المباراة التي جمعتهما اليوم (السبت) على ملعب «كيه سي».
افتتح هال سيتي، العائد إلى «البريميرليغ» بعد غياب 10 سنوات، التسجيل في الدقيقة 17، بعد ركلة ركنية من الجبهة اليسرى نُفذت داخل منطقة الجزاء، حاول حارس مانشستر يونايتد إبعادها، لكن الكرة ارتدت إلى المدافع سيمي أجاي، الذي سدد كرة سهلة في الشباك.
ميندي يضاعف التقدم
وضاعف هال سيتي تقدمه بهدف ثانٍ في الدقيقة 38، عقب ركلة حرة مباشرة نُفذت داخل منطقة الجزاء، قابلها نوبيل ميندي برأسية قوية استقرت في شباك «الشياطين الحمر».

وبحسب شبكة «سكواكا» المتخصصة في إحصاءات كرة القدم، خسر مانشستر يونايتد أمام فريق صاعد في مباراته الافتتاحية لموسم الدوري الإنجليزي للمرة الأولى في تاريخه.

Manchester United opened the new season of the English Premier League with a disappointing defeat against their hosts Hull City, losing 2-0 in the match held today (Saturday) at the “KC” Stadium.
Hull City, returning to the Premier League after a 10-year absence, opened the scoring in the 17th minute, following a corner kick from the left flank executed into the penalty area. Manchester United’s goalkeeper attempted to clear it, but the ball rebounded to defender Semi Ajayi, who easily shot it into the net.
Mendy doubles the lead
Hull City doubled their lead with a second goal in the 38th minute, following a direct free kick executed into the penalty area, which was met by Nabil Mendy with a powerful header that settled in the “Red Devils'” net.
Catastrophic numbers for Manchester United
According to the statistics network “Squawka,” Manchester United lost to a promoted team in their opening match of the Premier League for the first time in their history.
It added that Manchester United has lost their opening match in the Premier League for two consecutive seasons for the first time ever, having lost last season’s opening match against Arsenal 1-0.
