يفتتح تشيلسي سادس الترتيب الجولة الخامسة للدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز اليوم بمواجهة مضيفه برنتفورد السابع في ديربي غرب لندن عند الساعة العاشرة من ليل اليوم (الجمعة).
ويتوجه تشيلسي إلى ملعب الجار برنتفورد مدعوماً بخط هجوم ناري بوجود الثلاثي المتألق البرازيلي جواو بيدرو، وكول بالمر، ومورغان روجرز، إلا أن الفريق أظهر تراجعاً دفاعياً، وهو ما يفسّر اكتفاءه بفوزين فقط في أول أربع مباريات.
شهدت مباريات تشيلسي في الدوري هذا الموسم تسجيل 19 هدفاً، وهو الرقم الأعلى في البطولة، بواقع 10 أهداف سجلها الفريق و9 أهداف استقبلتها شباكه. وأكد الإسباني تشابي ألونسو مدرب تشيلسي حاجة دفاع فريقه للتحسن، وقال: «علينا أن نكون أكثر تماسكاً وسيطرة. لكني مطمئن على المستقبل حيث نحتاج إلى التجانس. لاعبون جدد وجهاز فني جديد… هذه هي العملية. أنا واثق من أننا سنتمكن من التحكم بشكل أفضل في غضون بضعة أشهر».
في المقابل، يأمل برنتفورد في تمديد أطول سلسلة له دون هزيمة في الدوري، لكنه يبحث أيضاً عن الانتصارات، بعدما اكتفى بالتعادل 10 مرات في آخر 14 مباراة ضمن الدوري. وحصد برنتفورد نقاطه الست بفضل فوز وحيد والتعادل 3 مرات دون أن يتعرض لأي هزيمة.

In Chelsea’s league matches this season, 19 goals have been scored, the highest number in the competition, with the team netting 10 goals and conceding 9. Spanish coach Xabi Alonso confirmed the need for his team’s defense to improve, stating: “We need to be more cohesive and in control. But I am confident about the future as we need to find harmony. New players and a new coaching staff… this is the process. I am sure we will be able to manage better in a few months.”
On the other hand, Brentford hopes to extend their longest unbeaten streak in the league, but they are also looking for victories, having settled for draws 10 times in their last 14 league matches. Brentford has collected six points thanks to one win and three draws without suffering any defeats.
