أعلن رئيس الاتحاد الإيطالي لكرة القدم جيوفاني مالاغو عودة المدرب روبرتو مانشيني لتدريب منتخب إيطاليا، خلفاً لجينارو غاتوزو الذي رحل عقب فشل التأهل إلى كأس العالم 2026.
وكان الاتحاد الإيطالي قد اتفق مع أندريا بيرلو لتولي تدريب منتخب إيطاليا، قبل أن يتراجع عن قراره بسبب الجدل الواسع حول دوره كسفير عالمي لشركة مراهنات روسية، وهو ما يتعارض مع المصالح السياسية للدولة.
إيطاليا تستعين بخبرات مانشيني ورانييري
وقال مالاغو، خلال مؤتمر صحفي اليوم (الثلاثاء)، إن مانشيني سيتولى تدريب منتخب إيطاليا، كما سيتولى كلاوديو رانييري منصب المدير الفني للاتحاد الإيطالي لكرة القدم، خلفاً لباولو مالديني الذي استقال بعد أيام قليلة من توليه المهمة.
تجربة ناجحة مع الآزوري
يذكر أن مانشيني قاد منتخب إيطاليا لتحقيق لقب يورو 2020، قبل أن يغادر منصبه في أغسطس 2023 لتدريب المنتخب السعودي، ثم خاض تجربة قصيرة بعد ذلك مع السد القطري.
مانشيني أمام مهمة إعادة إيطاليا للمنافسة
ويعول الاتحاد الإيطالي على مانشيني لإعادة منتخب «الآزوري» إلى المنافسة على الساحة الدولية، بعد فشله في التأهل إلى كأس العالم خلال آخر 3 نسخ.

Malagò stated during a press conference today (Tuesday) that Mancini will take over the coaching of the Italian national team, while Claudio Ranieri will assume the position of technical director of the Italian Football Federation, succeeding Paolo Maldini, who resigned just days after taking on the role.
A successful experience with the Azzurri
It is noteworthy that Mancini led the Italian national team to win the Euro 2020 title, before leaving his position in August 2023 to coach the Saudi national team, and then had a brief experience afterward with Al Sadd in Qatar.
