سعود عبدالحميد النجم الشاب حل ضيفاً على موقع الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (FIFA)، وتحدث عن الانتصار التاريخي على الأرجنتين في مونديال 2022 وطموحات الأخضر السعودي في المونديال القادم وتأثير القائد سالم الدوسري على زملائه اللاعبين.
• عندما تسترجع فوز المنتخب السعودي على الأرجنتين، كيف تصف شعورك الآن تجاه تلك المواجهة؟
•• بصراحة، الشعور لا يمكن وصفه. الأرجنتين فريق قوي جداً، وقد توّج لاحقاً بلقب كأس العالم، لذلك عندما تفوز على منتخب بهذا الحجم، يكون الأمر غريباً ومميزاً للغاية. كان إنجازاً كبيراً، وكنا سعداء جداً في تلك اللحظة، ومن المستحيل نسيانها.
• هل تتذكر أجواء غرفة الملابس بين الشوطين، خصوصاً مع انتشار الفيديو الشهير لرينارد وهو يحفزكم خلال الاستراحة؟
•• نعم، بالطبع أتذكر أجواء غرفة الملابس. كان الوضع معقداً قليلاً، لأن الأرجنتين سجلت أكثر من هدف في الشوط الأول، لكنها أُلغيت بداعي التسلل. كنا منظمين، لكن المدرب كان غاضباً ويتساءل كيف سمحنا لهم بالوصول إلى المرمى بهذه الطريقة. المدرب شجعنا كثيراً وطلب منا أن نلعب بقلوبنا، وأن نعود لأسلوبنا المعتاد. صحيح أنهم يملكون ليونيل ميسي، وهو أفضل لاعب في العالم، لكن كان علينا أن نقدم كل ما لدينا للفوز عليهم. طريقته في التحفيز كانت مميزة جداً، ونجحنا في الفوز.
• ماذا شعرت عندما سجل سالم هدف التقدم، وكيف كانت الاحتفالات بعد صافرة النهاية؟
•• الشعور لا يوصف. عندما سجل سالم الدوسري الهدف الثاني وأصبحت النتيجة 2-1، شعرت وكأن العالم كله يدعمنا. الجماهير كانت كلها واقفة، لا أحد يجلس. فرحتنا كانت جنونية، ومنحتنا ثقة وإصراراً أكبر حتى النهاية.
بعد صافرة النهاية، بدأنا نركض في كل مكان من شدة الفرح، لم نكن نعرف إلى أين نتجه. كنا نركض نحو بعضنا البعض لأن السعادة كانت كبيرة جداً. كانت لحظة رائعة، وأتمنى أن نكررها في كأس العالم 2026.
• ماذا يضيف سالم الدوسري للمنتخب؟
•• يضيف الكثير. يساعدنا ونساعده، وهناك تكامل بيننا. يمتلك القدرة على إيجاد الحلول الهجومية وتحفيز الفريق.
• ما مدى التغيير الذي طرأ منذ عام 2022 وحتى الآن؟
•• بصراحة، تغيّر الكثير، لأن الدوري السعودي تطور أيضاً، كما تطور اللاعبون مع وصول لاعبين أجانب. وأنا شخصياً خضت تجربة الاحتراف الخارجي، لذلك أحاول تطبيق كل ما تعلمته هناك، وأحاول نقل ما أعرفه لمن حولي، حتى وإن كانت خبرتي محدودة. ربما يتعلمون شيئاً جيداً مني أو أستطيع مساعدتهم بشيء ما، واللاعبون يساعدون بعضهم البعض. لذلك من الجيد أن اللاعبين الأجانب يساعدونهم كذلك داخل الأندية، وهذا يُعد أمراً إيجابياً بالنسبة لنا.
• ما الذي تعلمته من تجربة الاحتراف؟
•• تعلمت الكثير من الاحتراف، ربما الانضباط والالتزام وتنظيم الوقت، وهو ما يرتبط بالروتين والاستشفاء، إضافة إلى الاحترافية والتركيز داخل الملعب. هناك، خطأ واحد قد يسبب مشكلة كبيرة، لذلك يجب أن تحافظ على تركيزك طوال التسعين دقيقة. ربما أبرز ما تعلمته هو الانضباط والتركيز.
• أنتم في مجموعة صعبة تضم إسبانيا وأوروغواي والرأس الأخضر، كيف ترون حظوظكم فيها، وما هدفكم في البطولة؟
•• طموحنا هو الذهاب لأبعد نقطة ممكنة، لذلك نأمل أن نستعد جيداً قبل كأس العالم، ونحقق الهدف الذي وضعناه، وهو تخطي دور المجموعات. سننافس في مجموعة صعبة، لكننا نطمح للذهاب لأبعد نقطة ممكنة، وأتمنى أن نتمكن من تجاوز دور المجموعات.
• ما أبرز نقاط قوة المنتخب الحالي؟
•• أعتقد أن العزيمة والروح الجماعية وثقة المدرب والجماهير بنا هي أبرز ما يميز هذا المنتخب.

• When you recall the Saudi national team’s victory over Argentina, how do you describe your feelings now about that match?
•• Honestly, the feeling is indescribable. Argentina is a very strong team, and they later won the World Cup, so when you beat a team of that caliber, it feels strange and incredibly special. It was a huge achievement, and we were very happy at that moment, and it’s impossible to forget.
• Do you remember the atmosphere in the locker room at halftime, especially with the famous video of Renard motivating you during the break?
•• Yes, of course, I remember the atmosphere in the locker room. The situation was a bit complicated because Argentina scored more than one goal in the first half, but they were disallowed for offside. We were organized, but the coach was angry and questioning how we allowed them to reach the goal that way. The coach encouraged us a lot and asked us to play with our hearts and return to our usual style. It’s true that they have Lionel Messi, who is the best player in the world, but we had to give everything we had to win against them. His way of motivating us was very special, and we succeeded in winning.
• What did you feel when Salem scored the opening goal, and how were the celebrations after the final whistle?
•• The feeling is indescribable. When Salem Al-Dawsari scored the second goal and the score became 2-1, I felt as if the whole world was supporting us. The fans were all standing, no one was sitting. Our joy was insane, and it gave us even more confidence and determination until the end.
After the final whistle, we started running everywhere out of sheer joy; we didn’t know where to go. We were running towards each other because the happiness was immense. It was a wonderful moment, and I hope we can repeat it in the 2026 World Cup.
• What does Salem Al-Dawsari add to the team?
•• He adds a lot. He helps us, and we help him, and there is a complementarity between us. He has the ability to find attacking solutions and motivate the team.
• How much has changed since 2022 until now?
•• Honestly, a lot has changed because the Saudi league has also developed, and the players have improved with the arrival of foreign players. Personally, I have experienced playing abroad, so I try to apply everything I learned there, and I try to pass on what I know to those around me, even if my experience is limited. Maybe they will learn something good from me, or I can help them with something, and the players help each other. So it’s good that foreign players also help them within the clubs, which is a positive thing for us.
• What have you learned from the experience of professionalism?
•• I learned a lot from professionalism, perhaps discipline, commitment, and time management, which is related to routine and recovery, in addition to professionalism and focus on the field. There, one mistake can cause a big problem, so you have to maintain your focus throughout the ninety minutes. Perhaps the most important things I learned are discipline and focus.
• You are in a tough group that includes Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde. How do you see your chances in it, and what is your goal in the tournament?
•• Our ambition is to go as far as possible, so we hope to prepare well before the World Cup and achieve the goal we set, which is to advance past the group stage. We will compete in a tough group, but we aspire to go as far as possible, and I hope we can surpass the group stage.
• What are the main strengths of the current team?
•• I believe that determination, team spirit, and the confidence of the coach and fans in us are the main features that distinguish this team.
