تأهل المنتخب السويسري لدور الـ32 من بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم 2026 بعد فوزه اليوم على البلد المستضيف كندا في فانكوفر بهدفين مقابل هدف، في ختام مباريات المجموعة الثانية.
وسجل هدفي المنتخب السويسري بورن فارغاس في الدقيقة (46)، ويوهان مانزامي (57)، بينما سجل هدف كندا بروميس ديفيد في الدقيقة (76).
وبهذه النتيجة يتصدر المنتخب السويسري المجموعة برصيد (7) نقاط من فوزين وتعادل، ويتأهل للدور الثاني دور الـ32 من البطولة على رأس المجموعة، بينما تأهل منتخب كندا في المركز الثاني برصيد أربع نقاط من فوز وتعادل.
وقدم المنتخب السويسري مستوى مميزاً في المباراة ونجح في تسجيل هدفين في أول ربع ساعة من بداية الشوط الثاني حسم بهما اللقاء مستفيداً من قدرات قائده غرانيت شاكا الذي شكل دوراً فعالاً في قيادة فريقه للتأهل بأدائه المميز في تنويع الهجمات.
وبالمقابل قدم المنتخب الكندي أداء جيداً في الشوط الثاني وصنع العديد من الهجمات على مرمى منافسه السويسري غير أنه اصطدم بدفاع سويسري منظم حال دون حصوله على التعادل.
The Swiss national team qualified for the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after their victory today against the host country Canada in Vancouver, with a score of two goals to one, in the final matches of Group B.
Swiss goals were scored by Borne Vargas in the 46th minute and Johan Manzami in the 57th minute, while Canada’s goal was scored by Brumeis David in the 76th minute.
With this result, the Swiss team tops the group with a total of 7 points from two wins and a draw, qualifying for the second round, the Round of 32, at the head of the group, while Canada qualified in second place with four points from one win and one draw.
The Swiss team displayed an impressive performance in the match, successfully scoring two goals in the first quarter of an hour of the second half, which sealed the game, benefiting from the abilities of their captain Granit Xhaka, who played an effective role in leading his team to qualification with his outstanding performance in varying the attacks.
On the other hand, the Canadian team performed well in the second half and created many attacks on the Swiss goal; however, they faced a well-organized Swiss defense that prevented them from equalizing.
