استبعد مدرب المنتخب السعودي دونيس القائد سالم الدوسري والظهير الأيمن سعود عبدالحميد من قائمة «الأخضر» التي ستشارك في بطولة كأس الخليج العربي (خليجي 27)، التي تستضيفها جدة من (الأربعاء) القادم وحتى 6 أكتوبر القادم، وذلك لعدم جاهزية الثنائي وحاجتهما لاستكمال برنامجيهما التأهيليين.
وكانت “عكاظ” أشارت إلى غياب قائد الهلال سالم الدوسري، ولاعب لانس الفرنسي سعود عبدالحميد.
وضمّت قائمة منتخبنا الوطني في حراسة المرمى: محمد العويس، نواف العقيدي، حامد يوسف، وفي خط الدفاع: عبدالإله العمري، جهاد ذكري، ريان حامد، حسن كادش، حسان تمبكتي، نواف بوشل، محمد محزري، متعب الحربي، زكريا هوساوي. وفي خط الوسط: مصعب الجوير، محمد القحطاني، محمد كنو، زياد الجهني، عبدالله الخيبري، ناصر الدوسري، علاء آل حجي، وفي خط الهجوم: سلطان مندش، محمد أبوالشامات، همام الهمامي، صالح أبوالشامات، عبدالله الحمدان، فراس البريكان، عبدالله آل سالم.
وسينطلق معسكر «الأخضر» غداً (الخميس) بجدة استعداداً للمشاركة في بطولة «خليجي 27».
ويبدأ المنتخب السعودي مشواره في البطولة بمواجهة نظيره الكويتي (الأربعاء) القادم، على ملعب «الإنماء» بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية في جدة، في افتتاح رسمي يتزامن مع احتفالات «اليوم الوطني السعودي».
ويخوض «الأخضر» مباراته الثانية أمام منتخب عُمان (السبت) 26 من سبتمبر الجاري، قبل أن يختتم مشواره في دور المجموعات بمواجهة منتخب العراق في 29 من الشهر ذاته.
وكانت القرعة قد أسفرت عن وجود المنتخب السعودي في المجموعة الأولى إلى جانب منتخبات: الكويت، وعُمان، والعراق، بينما ضمّت المجموعة الثانية منتخبات: قطر، والإمارات، والبحرين، واليمن.
The Saudi national team coach, Donis, has excluded captain Salem Al-Dosari and right-back Saud Abdulhamid from the list of the “Green” team that will participate in the Arabian Gulf Cup (Gulf 27), which will be hosted in Jeddah from next Wednesday until October 6, due to the duo’s lack of readiness and their need to complete their rehabilitation programs.
“Okaz” had indicated the absence of Al-Hilal captain Salem Al-Dosari and French Lances player Saud Abdulhamid.
The national team list includes the following goalkeepers: Mohammed Al-Owais, Nawaf Al-Aqidi, Hamid Youssef; in defense: Abdulilah Al-Amri, Jihad Dhikri, Rayan Hamid, Hassan Kadsh, Hassan Tambakti, Nawaf Bushal, Mohammed Mahzari, Muteb Al-Harbi, Zakaria Hawsawi. In midfield: Musab Al-Juwair, Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Mohammed Kanno, Ziad Al-Juhani, Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Nasser Al-Dosari, Alaa Al-Hajji; and in attack: Sultan Mandash, Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat, Hamam Al-Hamami, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Firas Al-Buraikan, Abdullah Al-Salem.
The “Green” team’s camp will start tomorrow (Thursday) in Jeddah in preparation for participating in the “Gulf 27” tournament.
The Saudi national team will begin its journey in the tournament by facing its Kuwaiti counterpart next Wednesday at the “Al-Inma” Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, in an official opening that coincides with the celebrations of the “Saudi National Day”.
The “Green” will play its second match against the Oman national team on Saturday, September 26, before concluding its group stage journey against the Iraq national team on September 29.
The draw had resulted in the Saudi national team being placed in Group A alongside the teams of Kuwait, Oman, and Iraq, while Group B included the teams of Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, and Yemen.
