لا مجال للخطأ.. مارش: «قطر» مباراة التأهل أو الخروج – أخبار السعودية

أكد مدرب المنتخب الكندي جيسي مارش، أهمية المواجهة المرتقبة أمام المنتخب القطري، ضمن الجولة الثانية من منافسات المجموعة الثانية في بطولة كأس العالم 2026، مشددا على أن كل نقطة ستكون حاسمة في سباق التأهل إلى الدور القادم.

وقال مارش، خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الذي يسبق المباراة، إن منتخبات المجموعة تبدو متقاربة المستوى بعد انتهاء الجولة الأولى بالتعادل في جميع المباريات، مضيفا: «ندرك أن كل لحظة وكل نقطة لها أهمية كبيرة، ولذلك ينصب تركيزنا بالكامل على مواجهة قطر، وعلى كيفية الحد من نقاط قوتها وفرض أسلوب لعبنا».

وأضاف أن فريقه لم ينجح في فرض شخصيته بالشكل المطلوب خلال الشوط الأول من مباراته السابقة أمام البوسنة والهرسك، مؤكدا ضرورة دخول المواجهة القادمة بقوة وفرض إيقاع اللعب منذ الدقائق الأولى. وقال: «علينا أن نجعل المباراة تسير بالطريقة التي تناسبنا وأن نفرض أسلوبنا منذ البداية».

وأكد جاهزية قائد المنتخب ألفونسو ديفيز للمشاركة في المباراة بعد تعافيه من الإصابة التي أبعدته عن المباراة الافتتاحية، مشيرا إلى أن الجهاز الفني سيحدد كيفية الاستفادة منه وفقا لمجريات اللقاء.

Canadian national team coach Jesse Marsch emphasized the importance of the upcoming match against the Qatari national team, as part of the second round of the group stage in the 2026 World Cup, stressing that every point will be crucial in the race for qualification to the next round.

During the press conference prior to the match, Marsch stated that the teams in the group appear to be closely matched after the first round ended with all matches resulting in draws, adding: “We understand that every moment and every point is of great importance, which is why our focus is entirely on the match against Qatar, and on how to limit their strengths and impose our style of play.”

He added that his team did not succeed in imposing their identity as required during the first half of their previous match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing the need to enter the upcoming match with strength and set the pace of the game from the first minutes. He said: “We need to make the match go the way that suits us and impose our style from the beginning.”

Marsch confirmed the readiness of team captain Alphonso Davies to participate in the match after recovering from the injury that kept him out of the opening match, noting that the coaching staff will determine how to utilize him based on the flow of the game.
