لم يقلل مدرب أتلتيكو مدريد دييغو سيميوني من فريق برشلونة رغم تأهله على حسابه إلى الدور قبل نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا لكرة القدم، متفوقًا بنتيجة (3 – 2) في مجموع المباراتين «ذهاباً وإياباً»، وقال:«إقصاء الفريق الكتالوني ثلاث مرات متتالية يُعد أمرًا في غاية التعقيد»، موضحاً أن برشلونة يظل فريقًا قويًا عبر مختلف المراحل، سواء في حقبة «ميسي» أو في الجيل الحالي الذي يضم مواهب شابة بارزة مثل لامين يامال، مؤكدًا أن اختلاف الأسماء لا يقلل من قوة النادي أو صعوبة مواجهته.
