أكد المدير الفني للمنتخب اليمني الأول لكرة القدم الجزائري نور الدين ولد علي، سعي فريقه لتقديم أفضل المستويات خلال منافسات بطولة كأس الخليج العربي «خليجي 27»، وذلك قبل مواجهة المنتخب الإماراتي غداً، على ملعب مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة.
وأوضح ولد علي، خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الذي عُقد اليوم، أن المنتخب اليمني أقام المرحلة الأولى من معسكره في عدن، قبل الوصول إلى جدة وإقامة معسكر للتعود على الأجواء والدخول مبكراً في أجواء البطولة، مؤكداً أن المنتخب يمتلك عدداً من المواهب، سواءً من اللاعبين المحترفين أو الموجودين في الدوري، وأن الأداء في الملعب هو الفيصل بينهم.
وأشار إلى أن تحقيق الأهداف يحتاج إلى مشروع وعوامل مساعدة، مبيناً أن المنتخب يواجه بعض الصعوبات، لكنها لا تمثل عذراً أمام السعي والاجتهاد لتقديم الأفضل، مؤكداً طموح المنتخب للمنافسة على كأس البطولة.
من جانبه، أكد لاعب المنتخب اليمني عبدالواسع المطري، أن المنتخب تجاوز ضغوط البحث عن الفوز الأول في البطولة بعد نجاحه في تحقيقه خلال النسخة الماضية، مشيراً إلى أن الطموح حالياً أصبح المنافسة على تحقيق البطولة، وأن هذا الحق متاح لجميع المنتخبات.
وأوضح المطري أن الشعور في هذه النسخة مختلف، بعد أن كانت الأسئلة في النسخ الماضية تتركز حول تحقيق الفوز الأول، فيما أصبحت اليوم تتعلق بإمكانية تحقيق البطولة.

Ould Ali explained during the press conference held today that the Yemeni national team conducted the first phase of their training camp in Aden before arriving in Jeddah to acclimatize to the atmosphere and enter the tournament’s environment early, emphasizing that the team possesses several talents, whether from professional players or those in the league, and that performance on the field is the deciding factor among them.
He pointed out that achieving goals requires a project and supporting factors, indicating that the team faces some difficulties, but these do not excuse the effort and determination to present their best, reaffirming the team’s ambition to compete for the championship cup.
For his part, Yemeni national team player Abdulwas’ al-Matari confirmed that the team has overcome the pressure of seeking their first win in the tournament after successfully achieving it in the last edition, noting that their current ambition is to compete for the championship, and that this right is available to all teams.
Al-Matari clarified that the feeling in this edition is different, as the questions in previous editions focused on achieving the first win, while today they relate to the possibility of winning the championship.
